Faith in Tech
Local chapters across the country

Where faith and technology meet.

Faith in Tech connects Christians in technology. We gather locally, engineers and designers and founders, to encourage one another and figure out what it means to hold our convictions in this industry.

We're engineers, founders, designers, and marketers building in tech. Working in this industry means you're close to where culture gets shaped. We think that comes with responsibility. Standing for what we believe while actually practicing the love of Jesus Christ toward the people around us is not always easy. It's the work.

The pressure to set your convictions aside is constant and rarely direct. Finding people who are navigating the same tension is worth something. Faith in Tech exists for that.

What We Believe

Faith in Tech is grounded in bibical Christianity. These are the convictions that hold us together.

Core Doctrine

Scripture

We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of man and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith, life and conduct.

1 Thess 2:13 · 2 Tim 3:15–17 · John 3:16

The Trinity

We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.

Matt 28:19 · John 10:30 · Eph 4:4–6

God the Father

We believe God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ, without any change in His eternal deity, became man through conception by the Holy Spirit and virgin birth and that He died on the cross, a perfect and complete sacrifice, in our stead and for our sins according to the Scriptures. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

Matt 1:23 · John 1:1–4, 1:29 · Acts 1:11 · 1 Cor 15:3–4 · Heb 4:15

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer and is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.

John 3:5–8 · Acts 1:8 · Rom 8:9 · Gal 5:16–18

Salvation

We believe that man was directly created by God in His own image, but fell into sin. The entire human race is, therefore, lost and only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, and regeneration of the Holy Spirit, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

Gen 1:26–28 · Gen 3:22–24 · John 3:16

Christian Life

Christ's Return

We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to the earth and the establishment of His kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.

Holy Living

We believe that all the saved should live in such manner as will honor and glorify and not bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord, and that it is commanded by God to remain separate from false doctrines and sinful pleasures, practices and associations.

Worship & Assembly

We believe God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.

Evangelism & Discipleship

We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ.

Matt 28:18–20 · Acts 1:8 · Rom 10:9–15 · 1 Pet 3:15

Biblical Values

Marriage & Sexuality

We believe God's plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made for each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female.

Gen 2:24 · Matt 19:5–6 · Rom 1:26–27 · 1 Cor 6:9

Sanctity of Life

We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen.

Ps 139:13 · Isa 49:1 · Jer 1:5 · Matt 22:37–39

Biological Sex

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person biological male or female. These two distinct but complementary sexes together reflect the image and likeness of God. Rejection of one's biological sex is a rejection of God's merciful design and creative order.

Gen 1:26–27 · 1 Cor 6:9 · Deut 22:5

Chapter Guidelines

Every Faith in Tech chapter is independently led but shares these commitments.

1

Christ-centered

Chapters exist to encourage Christians in tech, not to be a general networking group. Jesus Christ and the gospel are central to why we gather.

2

Welcoming

Anyone is welcome to attend our events. We hold our beliefs firmly and treat people well, including those who don't yet share our faith.

3

In person

Chapters meet in person. Real community happens face to face. Share a meal, hear a talk, build actual relationships with people in your city.
